Which CPR class do I need?
If you work or study in healthcare, take BLS for Healthcare Providers. If your job asks for first aid as well as CPR (childcare, schools, construction, many OSHA-regulated workplaces), take First Aid + CPR & AED. Is this American Heart Association certification?
Yes. Chicago's Pulse is an American Heart Association Authorized Training Center, and every course on this page ends with an official AHA certification card.
How long is CPR certification good for?
American Heart Association CPR, BLS, and First Aid cards are valid for two years. We'll email you a reminder before yours expires.
When do I get my certification card?
Immediately after class. You leave with your certification card the same day.
