Who should attend this course:
This course is specifically designed for those who have a duty to learn First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and the use of an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) as part of their job responsibilities.
This course contains:
The American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid Course covers the identification and basic treatment of Adult emergencies. Students are taught what to do in the event of an emergency until professional help arrives and extensive skills practice is used to underpin the topics covered including adult CPR. General health and safety is discussed along with rescue techniques for choking victims. The course also covers general principles of treatment for both medical emergencies and injury emergencies.
Optional topics can be included in this course to cover pediatric CPR and AED and environmental emergencies.

This course can be highly tailored to exactly suit your specific requirements. This means that the duration of the course can vary considerably. The following course durations are for guidance only.
Basic First Aid - Approximately 3 hours
Advanced First Aid - Approximately 4 hours
First Aid with Adult & Child CPR & AED - Approximately 6 hours
First Aid with Adult, Child, & Infant CPR & AED - Approximately 7 hours
What you will have achieved by the end of the course:
Completion of this course leads to the trainee being certified for two years in accordance with American Heart Association’s guidelines. A fully validated certification card is issued to all successful attendees at the end of the course.
