Who should attend this course:
This course is specifically designed for those who have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergency because of their job responsibilities or regulatory requirements. This is typically non-professional healthcare providers who want to learn Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and the use of an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED).
What you will learn in this course:
This American Heart Association approved Heart Saver CPR course teaches you how to recognize an emergency. A mixture of adult, child and infant CPR techniques are taught in addition to rescue techniques for choking victims. Delegates are also taught how to protect themselves by use of barrier devices.
How long will the course last:
To learn the specialist CPR techniques for adults, children and infants takes one hour per component and courses normally cover all three areas hence the course duration of three hours is standard.
What you will have achieved by the end of the course:
Completion of this course leads to the trainee being certified for two years in accordance with American Heart Association’s guidelines. A fully validated certification card is issued to all attendees at the end of the course.
