ACLS is a course designed for health-care providers who either direct or participate in the resuscitation of a patient, whether in or out of a hospital. It is designed to teach lifesavers to initiate advanced resuscitative efforts in response to cardiovascular emergencies experienced by adults.
The ACLS course includes training on advanced airway management, major emergency conditions, electrical therapy, invasive therapeutic and monitoring techniques and special resuscitation situations

The ACLS Provider Course is designed to teach you the lifesaving skills required to be both a team member and a team leader in either an in-hospital or out-of-hospital setting. Because the ACLS Provider Course covers extensive material in a short time, you will need to prepare for the course beforehand.

What This Course Does Not Cover
The ACLS Provider Course does not teach algorithms, ECG, or pharmacology information. If you do not learn and understand the ECG and pharmacology information in the precourse assessment tests, it is unlikely that you can successfully complete the ACLS Provider Course.
What to Bring and What to Wear
Bring your 2020 ACLS Provider Manual to each class. You will need your ACLS Provider Manual during each lesson in the course. You may refer to the Handbook of Emergency Cardiovascular Care for Healthcare Providers (optional), and you may bring it to the course to use as a reference guide during some of the stations in the course.
Please wear loose, comfortable clothing to class. You will be practicing skills that require you to work on your hands and knees, and the course requires bending, standing, and lifting. If you have any physical condition that might prevent you from engaging in these activities, please tell an instructor. The instructor may be able to adjust the equipment if you have back, knee, or hip problems.
Course Completion
You will receive your ACLS Provider course ecard emailed to you within 48 hours of successful completion of this course. Continuing Education Hours certificate will be administered upon successful completion of class. You will have to check with your state to find out how many Continuing Education hours they accept for these classes.
Refund/Rescheduling Policy
-More than seven (7) days prior to the course, students may;
1. Reschedule to a different class date (one time only) up to (3) months of the original class date with no penalties or,
2. Cancel their class and receive a refund for the course, minus a processing fee
-Less than seven (7) days but more than forty- eight (48) hours prior to the class, students may;
1. Reschedule their course (one time only) up to three (3) months of the original class and pay an administrative fee of 50.00.
2. There are no refunds for any advanced course cancelled within 48 hours.
Any student who does not attend their scheduled class or arrives after the class begins without prior communication will forfeit their class fees.

American Heart Association E-Learning
This online course is designed for ACLS providers who have previously taken a ACLS provider course and would like to obtain a new ACLS provider card.
This course represents the cognitive portion (Part 1) of this blended learning course. For an additional fee, Chicago's Pulse provides the skills test (Part 2) with an AHA instructor.
Your card will be issued once you complete the certification process and the skill test.

Chicago’s Pulse CPR Training, Inc. reserves the right to cancel classes due to insufficient enrollment or unforeseen circumstances. In the unlikely event that your course is cancelled we will make every attempt to contact you. Enrollees in these courses will be given the option to reschedule or receive a full refund.

To cancel your enrollment or transfer to another class, you must speak to Customer Service directly.
